How to use your Vax steam cleaner

Safety first: Always unplug and switch off the steam mop when assembling, filling or emptying the water tank, changing pads or accessories

1. Prep the floors - sweep or vacuum the floors to remove loose debris and dust from surfaces.

2. Fill the water tank - fill the water tank with clean water (or filtered water if you live in a hard water area).

3. Attach the microfibre pad - place the microfibre pad on the floor, white side up, and ensure the mop head covers the entire of the pad.

 

How to use the Vax Steam Fresh Combi Steam Mop 

1. Press the power button to switch on the fresh combi steam mop, the light will turn blue to indicate that the power is on. Wait for the green light, which indicates the steam mop is ready to use.

2. Twist the steam control dial to your desired setting. Take care when changing the setting during cleaning.

3. If you’re using detergent, turn the detergent dial to ‘ON’. If you’re not using detergent, keep the dial turned ‘OFF’.

4. Place your foot on the floorhead and pull the handle backwards to recline. 

5. Move the steamer slowly in a backwards and forward motion to steam the floor, paying close attention to high-traffic areas to remove dirt and grime. To produce steam, squeeze the trigger in short bursts. Do not hold the trigger as this may overwet your floors.

6. To remove the steam pad, hold the corner of the pad down with your foot and lift the steam mop to peel it away. 

Using the Vax Steam Fresh Combi handheld steamer

1. Release and remove the handle from the handheld unit.

2. Release and remove the floorhead from the handheld unit.

3. Attach the concentration nozzle to the steamer, ensuring it is locked into place

4. Turn the dial into the ‘on’ position. Wait 30 seconds for the steam cleaner to heat up.

5. Twist the steam control dial to the desired setting. Take care when changing settings during cleaning.

6. To produce steam, if your steam cleaner has a trigger, squeeze the trigger in short bursts. Do not hold the trigger continuously to prevent overwetting the surface.

How to use the Vax Steam Glide

1. Place the microfibre pad on the floor, white side facing up. Place the floorhead onto the microfibre pad, making sure the pad covers the entire floorhead.

2. Plus into mains and turn the dial into the ‘on’ position. The red light will indicate power and will take 30 seconds to be ready for use. During this time, there will be no sound while the steam mop is heating up.

3. Twist the steam control dial to the desired setting. Take care when changing settings during cleaning.

4. Place your foot on the floorhead and pull the handle backwards to recline. 

5. Move the steamer slowly in a backwards and forward motion to steam the carpet, paying close attention to high-traffic areas.

 

 

Using the Vax Steam Glide handheld steamer 

1. Press the handle release button and lift the handle to remove.

2. Press the accessory release button and lift the machine to release the floorhead.

3. Push the concentration nozzle into the steamer until it clicks into place.

4. Plug into the mains and turn the dial into the ‘on’ position. The red light will illuminate to indicate the power is on and will take 30 seconds to heat up.

5. Twist the steam control dial to the desired setting.

6. Hold the trigger in until steam appears from the nozzle. When cleaning, use the trigger in short bursts to avoid over-wetting.

 

How to use the Vax Steam Fresh Home Steamer 

1. Place the microfibre pad on the floor, white side facing up. Place the floorhead onto the microfibre pad, making sure the pad covers the entire floorhead.

2. Plug into mains and switch on via the on/off button. The blue light will indicate power.

3. Adjust the steam dial to the desired setting. The green light will illuminate to indicate the steamer is ready to use.

4. To steam your floor with solution, turn the dial to ‘on’.

5. Place your foot on the floorhead and pull the handle backwards to recline.

6. To release the steam, squeeze the trigger on the handle in short bursts. Do not hold the trigger to prevent over-wetting your floors.

7. Move the steam slowly forwards and backwards paying close attention to high-traffic areas.

8. For a concentrated steam jet, use the steam boost located on the floorhead. Squeeze the trigger to release steam from the front of the floorhead, and  press the steam boost button again to deactivate.

 

 

Using the Vax Steam Fresh Home Handheld Steamer

1. Remove the plug and turn the hooks to release the power cord.

2. Press the handheld release button and gently pull the handheld release from the steamer.

3. Remove the water tank and refill.

4. Attach the concentration tool or hose before use. Turn in a clockwise motion and the attachment will lock into place.

5. Plug into the mains and turn on the power button, the blue light will illuminate.

6. Adjust the steam dial to the desired setting. The green light will illuminate when ready to use.

7. To release steam, squeeze the trigger in short bursts. Do not hold the trigger to avoid over-wetting.
